Did you know that energy and utilities is one of the top five industries being subjected to cyberattacks around the world? In an increasing number of cases, hackers are targeting the industrial control systems that companies like AES use to manage its plants and critical infrastructure. This threat is compounded by the fact that increased demand for real-time industrial information means that these control systems may no longer be isolated from business networks and the Internet. For these reasons, many companies, including AES, hire external vendors to conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify and remediate plant control system and industrial network security weaknesses.

 A WIN EVERY WEEK GPS will help AES improve its management of assets and expenditures AES is enhancing its management reporting capability in order to strategically manage its assets and expenditures on a global level. A solution is being put in place to increase visibility into how and where the company is spending money through the use of a new global chart of accounts, cost centers and profit centers. |

Since 2011, AES has offered Training for Administrative Assistants in partnership with the SENAI Professional Educational Center of Lindolfo Collor, located in the City of São Leopoldo, State of Rio Grande do Sul. |
