Andrés Gluski, AES President and CEO, talks about US-Brazil trade relations
The US House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Trade held a hearing on U.S.-Brazil trade relations on June 12. As one of the most important markets for AES, Andrés was invited to testify during the hearing and talked about we can do to increase trade and investment between the two largest economies in the Americas.

AES Gener receives appreciation for its continued support of school soccer league in Chile
Senior leaders at AES Gener joined Tocopilla Mayor Fernando San Román and others at Tuesday's launch of the AES Gener School League for soccer at School F-9 Differential Pedro Aguirre Cerda. Harold Mayne-Nicholls, president of the Ganamos Todos (We All Win) Foundation, local city officials and representatives from the school teams participating in the league also attended the event.

AES Brasil develops a program to exchange recycling material for electric bill discount
AES Eletropaulo and AES Sul, encompassing the AES Brasil Group, successfully launched the "Recicle Mais, Pague Menos" (Recycle More and Pay Less), a program that offers a discount on their electric bill in exchange for recycling material. With the goal in São Paulo of collecting 1,600 tons of waste through the end of 2014, 10 collection stations will be implemented in low-income communities, covering approximately 40,000 registered customers.
