AES Sul selected among 'best companies to launch a career'

Gaining recognition for being a great place to work is one of AES' long-term goals. It's a goal that some of our businesses, such as AES Sul, have already reached.

AES Sul was recently selected by Brazilian magazine Você S/A as one of the best companies to launch a career. The honor was the result of a survey called Best Companies to Launch a Career the magazine conducted. Você S/A is one of Brazil's most important publications focused on career and personal finance topics.

Recognizing AES' 12th annual Safety Day the right way

Doing it right is doing it safely. Those words of security and safekeeping rang throughout the world yesterday as our companies recognized our 12th annual AES Global Safety Day.

In his recent message of safety pertaining to Safety Day and this year's theme, COO Andy Vesey wrote from Northern Ireland:

IPL and DPL volunteers help refurbish homes in 'Rebuilding Together' efforts

Each April, the national Rebuilding Together organization and its 200 affiliates across the country, provide volunteers from local companies, universities, churches and service organizations to help elderly or disabled homeowners who are not able or cannot afford to paint their homes or complete any number of other indoor and outdoor repairs that could make their lives better. US SBU companies Dayton Power & Light (DPL) and Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL) and their people and families annually volunteer in these events in their respective cities.
