IPL Ranks No. 1 in Business Customer Satisfaction
For the first time in the 14-year history of the J.D. Power Business Customer Satisfaction Study for electric utilities, IPL placed first among Midwest Mid-size utilities. IPL's overall customer satisfaction index was 676, compared to perennial frontrunners Omaha Public Power District at 675, and MidAmerican Energy at 674. The average score for the 12 Midwest Mid-size utilities surveyed was 647.
Showing an improvement of 21 points over its score last year, IPL was the second most-improved of all 95 utilities participating in the survey, and placed 11th in the United States. |

Winner Profile: AES Tietê
AES Tietê has received the 2012 Golden Hard Hat Award, marking the first time when one of the AES Brazil businesses has received this recognition. The award acknowledges and celebrates AES businesses that represent the meaning of putting safety first by significantly improving their safety performance or pioneering innovations in safety that can be used by other AES businesses. |

2013 Safety Perception Survey Starts Next Monday
At AES, safety is our first value and our way of life. Over the last three years, we've been focused on making safety our way of life and creating a world-class safety culture. We will assess the progress we've made through a Safety Perception Survey (SPS) that will seek input from all of our people and our contractors. Please participate in the survey to help AES measure the progress we've made in safety as a result of the three-year action plan. With the information gathered, we will develop future actions and programs to continuously improve our safety culture and safety performance.
The survey will be administered by a third party, DuPont Sustainable Solutions, from February 25 through March 24, 2013. Your completed survey and responses will be kept anonymous. In order to reach the largest number of people, the survey will be available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Vietnamese, Turkish, Bulgarian and Russian through an online site and in a paper format. |
