Nominations Now Open for the Heart of Financial Planning Award - Due by 11/30/13
Once a year, the FPA's San Francisco chapter chooses to recognize an individual who is making a difference. The FPA Heart of Financial Planning Award is an esteemed acknowledgement of an individual or organization, who has used the FPA's Core Values of integrity, competence, dedication to relationship building and stewardship to contribute to the financial planning community and/or the public.

How do you nominate someone? Simply complete the nomination form and return it to our Executive Director, Holly Wilkerson, by email at info@fpasf.org or by fax at 877-260-3218. Nominations are due by 11/30/13.  The chosen recipient will be honored at the chapter's holiday reception in December.

Seeking Volunteers for Job Corps

If you'd like to make an immediate impact on the lives of young adults by providing personal financial education, volunteer with FPA's Pro Bono Job Corps team. We facilitate one hour workshops each month for approximately 30 students at the Treasure Island Job Corps campus. We cover a range of useful topics such as goal setting, creating saving/spending plans, maintaining good credit, and taking advantage of employer benefits.

For additional information visit http://www.fpasf.org/volunteer/job-corps or contact Mike Pablo at mpablo@agilefp.com. For those of you who may be interested in volunteering but want a better sense of the program, you are welcome to shadow an experienced volunteer at an upcoming Job Corps workshop.
