Join us on this Wednesday for the last of the Lenten iMPACT series.  Dinner begins at 5:30 pm. The menu for dinner is Ham, green beans, corn, salad, and dessert.  Please call the church office (454-3718) to reserve your meal.  Following dinner, at 6:30 p.m., Pastor Jay and Newton will continue the Lenten study, "The Final Words." There is also a class for the children.  The children will continue their Lenten study called, "The Way, Following Jesus."

  

  

   

Friday, March 29^th: Good Friday: Our choir will join with Starmount Presbyterian to present St. John's Passion at 7:00 p.m. at Starmount. We will be taking the JPC buses for anyone who wants a ride. Buses will depart at 6:15 p.m. from JPC and will bring you back.

Calling all children infant-5^th grade bring your families and join us for a wonderful afternoon of hunting for eggs, the Real Easter Story, and crafts. Invite your neighbors, bring the grandkids, or just come and watch the fun.

 

If you would like to donate candy for the eggs, please bring small wrapped candy and give it to Newton or leave in the front office.

 

Sunday, March 31: Easter Sunday: Worship at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. with Communion. 

 

Also, on Easter Sunday, a special worship opportunity will be observed in celebration of Holy Week.  Our annual "One Great Hour of Sharing" offering for the relief of human suffering will be received at both services.

  

  

Third Day Concert

Join us April 20th at the Greensboro Coliseum for Third Day in concert with special guests "American Idol" contestants Colton Dixon and Josh Wilson.  Concert starts at 7:00 p.m.; doors open at 6:00 p.m.  Group tickets are $19 per person. Open to all chuch members.

Presbyterian Women's

Spring Retreat 

 

ATTENTION ALL LADIES - Our JPC Women's Spring Retreat will be held on Saturday, April 13^th, 2013. The retreat will begin with a special coffee fellowship time at 8:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Our guests will be the Presbyterian Women from Saint James Presbyterian Church in Greensboro.  A very special program will be presented by the Liturgical Dancers from Saint James.  This dance ministry is led by Mr. Melvin Jones, Adult Dancers of Religious Expression, and Dr. Kimberly Pemberton, Worshippers of Praise Dance Ministry at Saint James. Their program will include beautiful music, lecture and demonstrations.

 

Enjoy Christian fellowship, worship, and inspiration, presented by our Sisters in Christ from Saint James Presbyterian Church. The retreat will conclude at 12 o'clock noon. Retreat Cost: $5.00 per person   Please mark your calendars for April 13^th; our JPC ladies are encouraged to come, invite a friend and share in this special time together.

 

Thinking about Spring......a little bird told us there are already 50 to 60 ladies from Saint James planning to come to JPC for our retreat. Come out and welcome this wonderful group of ladies, as our two churches enjoy time with one another, at the retreat.
