Welcome back! I hope you all had a great break in your regular routine and had lots of fun with your children last week. On Friday before spring break, we celebrated the last day of our Pennies for Patients fund drive. Thanks to your generous contributions, the children raised approximately $1,200 for this worthy cause.

Tomorrow will be the first day of April! That means we have two important months of school ahead of us. It is impossible to know how much difference one day of learning will make in a child's life, and with that in mind, we are going to work like each day is the most critical of the year. Please continue to read with your child every day and look for opportunities to point out how numbers and math are a part of our lives. Let's make these last two months count! As always, thank you for your partnership and support.

Happy spring! Hopefully old man winter has packed his bags and moved OUT of town!
Next week we will be celebrating National Volunteers Day on Friday during our FAB Friday assembly. We have so many parents who have volunteered consistently at our school and made a difference in the lives of our students and teachers.
Our teachers and students are continuing to prepare for the upcoming end of the year tests. I will be meeting with each student individually to encourage them to do their best. It's important to know that our kids have been preparing ALL year long for this and not just during this last quarter of school. They are ready and we are already proud of them!

Our Boys State representatives will be Nick Putting, Josh Null and Gabe Sheffield. We are fortunate to be able to send three boys and three girls each year due to sponsorships from the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), the Hallsville Community Teachers Association and the Hallsville Optimist.
