Volunteers Needed for Home Track Meets

The HHS Track and Field Team will be hosting three meets this season on March 21, April 8 and April 26. It takes a lot of people to run a successful home track meet. We are in need of parents and community members to help as adult supervisors. It does not require any special expertise. If you are interested in helping, please fill out the signup form and return to Coach Sides, tsides@hallsville.org

Primary School News

On Wednesday, February 12, we finally celebrated the 100th day of school.  (The snow days caused us to reschedule more than once!)  The students and staff enjoyed the day with activities focusing on 100, and some of us even tried to look like we were 100 years old.  One of the highlights of the day was a visit from our friend, Zero the Hero.  He stays in touch with our kindergartners as they count their way through the school year.

Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, and special friends who helped to make our Valentine's Day party a big success!  Friday was also the beginning of our Pennies for Patients fund drive.  For one month, we will collect money to support research to fight leukemia and lymphoma.  Thanks in advance for your support!

Intermediate School News
Stacy Fick, Principal

The Intermediate School family is growing by leaps and bounds! We have had several new students lately, but also, our teachers have been adding to their families. Since Christmas, Mrs. Eads, Mrs. Terry, Mrs. Westhoff and Mrs. Baines have each had babies of their own. All are doing well!

Valentine's Parties were a hit as usual. Thanks for all the treats and creative parties!

This Friday, we will be enjoying the Petting Zoo at the High School in honor of FFA week. Intermediate students will be visiting in the afternoon.

Progress reports will come home this Friday. In the upcoming weeks, expect information about Parent Teacher Conferences coming up in mid-March.

Great job, Kendall!!

Hallsville High School is nationally recognized! Thanks to Skyler Creed and the Indians boys' basketball team. With 2 seconds left in the Tolton game, Skyler hit the game-winning shot from about 65 feet. The incredible play made ESPN's top ten plays on Friday (2/14) night as the No. 1 Play of the Day. Way to go Skyler!!
