FREE Fluoride Treatment & Oral Screening

On December 16, the Department of Health will come to the Intermediate School and provide a FREE fluoride treatment to each student that has returned a signed permission form. The form was sent home earlier this month. Please return it before Tuesday, November 26 if you wish for your child to participate. This is such a wonderful opportunity as so many students do not have the privilege of seeing a dentist regularly. The licensed dental professional will also do an oral screening along with the treatment. It is a two treatment process. December 16 is the first treatment. The next one will be this spring. If any issues are spotted, they will help the family take the necessary steps to get the care needed.

Welcome to all our guests who will be joining us for lunch on Monday and Tuesday, November 25 and 26. Our little Indians have on their best head dress, and we are excited to have you here!
When we return from our Thanksgiving holiday, first grade will begin benchmark testing. This reading assessment will give us data on individual student progress this year and will help us plan instruction for the coming weeks. Happy Thanksgiving from the Hallsville Primary staff! When we are counting our blessings this holiday, our supportive parents and community will be at the top of our list!

Today begins our Golden Gratitude Project. Each teacher and student has been given a golden coin that represents gratitude or thankfulness for others. This week, the students' and staff's responsibility is to give the coin to someone they are thankful for. If you receive a coin, don't keep it to yourself. Give your gratitude away! Students and teachers are encouraged to consider giving the coin to someone in their family, school or community that doesn't even know how much they are appreciated! This project highlights and concludes our month of Gratitude!
Today, we also celebrate our fifth grade students' DARE graduation. We know they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to make smart, healthy decisions for life!
