2013 Carrollton Band Day
Congratulations to the Hallsville Indian Pride Marching Band on earning the 5th place trophy in Class 3A on September 28. I believe our band has only placed once in the field at the Carrollton Band Day. Carrollton is one of the largest festivals in Midwest with over 40 schools participating. It was a great first outing. Thanks again to all the parents and volunteers who made this day possible. Bravo!

Please join Hallsville Primary faculty and staff for a fun, relaxing, yummy FUNDRAISER. The Primary staff will be entertaining diners from 4-8 p.m. at the Clark Lane McDonald's on Tuesday, October 8. A portion of the profits for the evening's sales (both in restaurant and drive-through) will go towards educational resources for the primary school. Thanks for your participation!

In the Primary building, pajama days are one of students' favorite rewards for having outstanding citizenship at school. The Primary teachers like to recognize the good things that our children do. Individually, students earn "shining stars" for showing exemplary behavior and work ethics, and as a class, they earn compliments. A targeted number of compliments result in something fun! During morning announcements each day, we highlight some aspect of being safe, respectful or responsible. Character education is a critical part of social development with our young learners and we appreciate the good conduct our students are being taught at home.
We will participate in the area food drive organized by the Missouri Food Bank from October 14-17. More information will be posted on our website and sent in Friday folders soon. Thank you in advance for supporting this worthy cause.

The Harlem Ambassador Game was a blast Tuesday evening and I'm sure the students loved seeing their principal do pushups! We were lucky to host such an awesome event!
Mid-terms were sent home on Friday to students who have areas of concern. Parent Teacher Conferences are right around the corner. Be watching for notes to come home, scheduling your conference.
Hallsville Homecoming will be celebrated next week, September 30 - October 4. The Intermediate School is very excited about the opportunity to participate in this fun event by having our students take part in two different dress-up days!
Thank you for your participation in Hallsville Homecoming 2013!

Our Friday, our drawing winner was Keazha Berry. She was the winner of the grab bag and she received her ticket for always offering to help out in Mrs. Wyatt's class.
This week things slow down a little during the school day, however, the middle school athletic teams continue with their busy schedule.

The high school students also get excited during this time because they like to play dress up each day of the week.
