An additional long range planning meeting has been organized for January 2nd at 6:30 PM in the Intermediate Commons. Community members are asked to attend this meeting as our school board seeks input from you for the years ahead. Our district is growing rapidly and we value your thoughts and ideas as we plan accordingly for this growth and meet the needs of our educational community.

Learn how to help keep your children safe on the Internet. Join us for a presentation by the Boone County Sheriff's Department Cyber Crimes Task Force starting at 6:30 on January 10, 2013.
After attending, you will:
- Have a better understanding of why Internet crimes are so prevalent and so easy to avoid apprehension.

Have a better understanding of the types of crimes perpetrated against children over the Internet and how perpetrators victimize them.

Have a better understanding how likely our children are to be victims of Internet crimes.

Have a better understanding of prevention and responding to Internet crimes.

 Students Receive New Shoes
Just before students and staff were dismissed for the winter break, more than 170 students received a new pair of tennis shoes.  Hallsville Optimist Youth Wrestling Tournament
January 5, 2013 will be the 2nd Annual Hallsville Optimist Youth Wrestling Tournament in the West Gym. With the recent approval of high school wrestling at Hallsville to begin 2013-14, this will be a great event for parents or students that are curious about the sport to attend. This event also has many of our High School football players helping keep time and score. It is a huge undertaking to run a wrestling tournament and many of the students and faculty at the school step in to make it a great success!
