SCHOOL UPDATES
Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe that we are two weeks into October already. As I have visited every classroom I have been thoroughly impressed with our student's engagement in the learning process. Below please find some important information and dates that I believe you will find interesting and helpful.
No School Tomorrow 10/11: Tomorrow is a state-wide in-service day for all teachers. We look forward to greeting our students when we resume school on Monday.
Progress Reports: By now many of you have received multiple Progress Reports concerning your student's academic achievements thus far. We appreciate your patience as multiple copies have been sent out. We are working with our provider to rectify this situation. Our main focus is to try and communicate with you concerning your CRMS student's grades. If you have not been receiving these progress reports please contact our front office to make sure we have your correct information.
Early Release Dates: Just like last year the school district will be supporting our learning goals with early release days. These days are vital to helping our staff work together on numerous activities to help improve our academic growth here at Cedar Ridge.

Parent/Teacher Conferences: We Want You! I want to encourage you to put this on your calendar and attend our annual parent/teacher conferences. Please see the dates and times below. Your attendance is a great way to support your student's success and areas of needed improvements.
2012-13 School Report Card: We are proud to announce that Cedar Ridge is a Level 4 Middle School. This grade is on a scale of (1-5) with 5 being the very best. Our work in helping all students grow is at the root four success. We will continue to focus on each student's growth and create a safe learning environment were our student's thrive to excel. This is great news and we are proud of all the hard work.
10/16 First early release - School gets out at 1:20 every Wednesday
10/24-25 Parent/teacher conferences (5-8pm Thursday, 7:30-3:30 Friday; drop-in style, no conferences scheduled ahead of time)
10/28-31 Red Ribbon Week to celebrate drug- and alcohol-free living. There will be a
special dress-up theme for each day this week.
11/1 No school - budget reduction "furlough" day
11/8 Recognition Assembly
11/11 No school - Veteran's Day
11/12 Site Council Meeting at 2:30
School Board Meeting at SHS, 6 pm
11/19 Parent/Teacher Club Meeting at 2 pm
11/22 Monthly Activity Reward: School Dance
11/24-30 Thanksgiving Break
Our goal has been will continue to be preparing all of our students for success at the high school level. Our staff is looking forward to helping grow all of our students one at a time. Have a great weekend!
