Wow, it's been a busy time here at the school. In October, we had our first workshop, Bring-a-Friend Week, our Halloween Howl, AND we were featured on the front page of the Fairfield Sun newspaper!

Fall Food Drive Update
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to our food drive for Operation Hope! The large box in the lobby is overflowing with food and will be dropped off to Operation Hope this week. Thanks again for your help!!

Faculty Recital
Justina Sullivan, FSM cello teacher, performing in our Faculty Recital last March. 
Our Semi-Annual Faculty Recital will be held on Sunday, November 17th from 2-3 pm. Join us for a diverse program of music performed by some of FSM's talented faculty members!

This concert is FREE and open to the public. To attend, please RSVP by email or at the front desk by Friday, Nov. 15th. 
2nd Annual Holiday Recital

Families and friends are welcome to join us for our Holiday Recital on Friday, December 20th.

To accommodate our large number of students and audience members, we will hold three shorter recital sessions that evening: 5 pm, 6 pm, & 7 pm. 

Please note: all students requiring an accompanist (all voice students and non-piano instrumentalists) will need to attend the 6 or 7 pm recital.

To attend: RSVP by email or at the desk no later than Friday, December 6th. Please indicate the total number of people who will be attending.

Music For Youth - FREE Concert Series
Select Saturdays at the Pequot Library, Southport

Music for Youth's mission is "to entertain, educate and enthrall young people with classical music." From September to May, this non-profit organization presents a free monthly concert on Saturdays at 2 pm at the Pequot Library.

Shining Stars Open Mic
Sunday, November 17th

Young musicians are welcome to perform at this popular Open Mic Night, hosted by FSM student, Amber Schaper. (In fact it's so popular that you should be sure to make a reservation before you go!)

(Not) Just For Kids
Presented by the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra
Saturday, November 23rd - Multiple Locations

(Not) Just For Kids is a free interactive, educational workshop presented by members of the NSO. At the end of the hour presentation, kids have a chance to try out the instruments for themselves!
