Delegation 2012 Report

Last month over 20 people participated in a VMM-USA/SHARE delegation to El Salvador! These included delegates, staff, board members, missioners, former missioners, project partners, friends and other supporters from around the country. The purpose of our trip was to provide everyone a greater appreciation of the work we do as well as to gain a greater understanding of the local culture and history of El Salvador. We visited the sacred sites, met with representatives from local organizations working for peace and justice and reflected each day on our experiences with Edwina Gateley. It was a wonderful experience and we look forward to planning another delegation soon.

Board Members
Last month, the VMM-USA board of directors met at St. Francis Assisi Parish in Milwaukee. Marty and Elly Jordan stepped down after completing 6 years of service and 2 new members were welcomed: Paul Ssonko and Rosemary Huddleston OP. The board meets four times a year at various places in the Milwaukee/ Chicago area and the next meeting is Feb. 2 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Brookfield WI.
