President's Message
Dear Member:
Welcome to Spring!
Spring is certainly a time of renewal, of recovered energies after the long winter in the NE Ohio region; a time to move forward, a beautiful time to experience change.
Since joining the ASID Ohio North Board, I have met so many new people; many passionate professionals, dedicated industry partners, enthusiastic design students; confident emerging professionals and a host of dedicated volunteers of ASID at the chapter and national levels. As I reflect on my time over the last year and a half on the board, I am delighted to have taken this leadership role.
At the recent chapter's tradeshow, participants were making new connections, learning about new products and gaining knowledge about the importance of "branding" and following up with the rapid growing business of social media. Staying connected is a must in the twenty first century. Understanding who you are, your personal message and what makes you unique create value to your target business market. There are a multitude of online sites/platforms to connect with others in the industry; however, the face-to-face contact is still one of the most important ways to demonstrate our values.
We appreciate your continued attendance at chapter events. It is a terrific way to share ideas with colleagues, old friends and make new connections. But if you cannot attend all of the events in person try staying connected via the chapter's Facebook page and LinkedIn group; check ASID National's and Ohio North's websites; try starting a blog; check out webinars; CEU content online and so much more.

Practice Tests Computer-Based NCIDQ Exams
WASHINGTON, DC- The Council for Interior Design Qualification, Inc. (CIDQ) has just released two multiple-choice practice tests for exam candidates and others to use when preparing for the new computer-based multiple-choice exams, the Interior Design Fundamentals Examination (IDFX) and the Interior Design Professional Examination (IDPX). Job Lead
Decorative Products Specialist Part time - up to 24 hours per week. This position is responsible for assisting paint store customers, with special emphasis on decorative products, such as color consultation, wallcovering selection, window treatments, faux finish materials. Training on product line will be provided.
