Henderson Community Theatre
seats_theater.jpg Henderson Community Theatre announces open auditions for its fall production, Picasso at the Lapin Agile by Steve Martin, at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, and Thursday, September 8, at the Henderson Fine Arts Center. This absurdist comedy is set in 1904 in a Paris cafe. According to comedian and playwright Martin, "Focusing on Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity and Picasso's master painting, Les Demoiselles d'Avignon, the play attempts to explain, in a light-hearted way, the similarity of the creative process involved in great leaps of imagination in art and science."

Director Steve McCarty will cast eleven roles, including seven men and two-to-four women varying in ages from early 20s through 60s. The audition will include cold readings from the play.  Interested auditioners who can't make either audition are encouraged to contact Mr. McCarty at steve.mccarty@kctcs.edu or call 270 831-9810 to arrange for alternate times. The cast will rehearse on Monday and Thursday evenings with performances at the Henderson Fine Arts Center on November 11 and 12.
