Please note the rescheduled Nursing and Dental Programs pre-admission conferences due to the weather:
 
Nursing pre-admission conference is scheduled for Wednesday, January 27th, 4 p.m., STC 311.
 
Dental Assisting/Dental Hygiene pre-admission conference is rescheduled for Wednesday, February 3rd at 4 p.m., A/T 108.

FAFSA Fridays
 
Good Day, Henderson Student:
 
On Fridays this spring, Henderson Community College Financial Aid will host FAFSA Fridays. This will be an opportunity for both new and continuing HCC students to receive one-on-one guidance and assistance in completing the 2016-2017 Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. Assistance will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Friday through May 6th in the Start Center, located in the Sullivan Technical Center, 2nd floor. 
 
To receive federal financial aid students must complete the online FAFSA application prior to the start of each academic year. The application and all required paperwork must be submitted prior to the college's Fall Financial Aid Priority Deadline Date of July 15, 2016. Come in and let the professionals help you!
 
Walk-ins are encouraged and no appointment is necessary. Please bring tax paperwork for both yourself and your parents if you are a dependent student. This includes 2015 tax paperwork and W-2s. Please contact HCC Financial Aid at 270-831-9627 for more details.

Bookstore Financial Aid Charges
If you are taking classes that start in February or March, please make sure you pick up your textbooks while Financial Aid Charges are open in January. Otherwise you will have to pay for those books and supplies out of pocket.

MSU Free Online Application Transfer Days
January 25 through January 27.   
 
MSU's first EVER online FREE APPLICATION DAY for Transfer Students will be next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (January 25-27). Students who want to apply to Murray State University will be able to use the code: TRANSFER in the promo code section at the end of the online application to waive the $40 application fee. Tutoring
The tutoring schedule can be found online here! Tutoring is available in almost every subject with various opportunities throughout the week.
 
The Writing Center is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and by appointment on Fridays. The Center is located in ADM205. Contact Bill Gary or Cheryl McKendree if you need to schedule or have any questions. 
 
Open Math Lab every Friday from 8:30 to 12:30 p.m. in STC202. You can find individual instructor times on the website also.  
  
LearningExpress Library is now available through the Kentucky Virtual Library. This free resource is available to all KCTCS students who register their email address. Use the hyperlink, "Register" an account using your KCTCS credentials and do not complete the fields for Student ID and Course Section. How Sweet Are You?

Methodist Hospital will be on campus Thursday, February 11th to offer free HgbA1C testing. The American
Diabetes Association recommends the HgbA1C test as the gold standard screening test to assess your risk of developing diabetes and assess how well you are controlling your blood sugar.
The test measures the average of your blood sugar levels
over a three month period
to determine your diabetes
risk level.

Free HgbA1C testing will be offered February 11th from 9am-11am in the cyber caf�. Methodist Hospital will be using new technology that only requires a finger stick and you will receive your results the day of the screening.
