Register and "chat" online in comfort with representatives from 22 Kentucky Colleges. Talk to advisors, play some games, hang out, eat some snacks, and register for cool college swag--names to be drawn every hour.

 

PTK News: In conjunction with the Transfer Madness Event, PTK members will be in the Library to help people take the PTK pledge to Commit to Complete their degree and receive a free goody bag and to register for CollegeFish and get a Free t-shirt.

The Writing Center is open Monday through Thursday in ADM205 from 9 am until 4 pm. Scroll down from here and look for the Spring 2015 Tutoring Schedule.

Open Math Lab every Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:45 pm in STC202 and every Friday from 11 am to 4:30 pm in STC202. You can find individual instructor times on the website also.

Underground Mining Class
HCC is offering Initial Underground Mining Class at its Sullivan Technology Center, room 310 located in Henderson, KY. The course dates are March 14th & 15th and March 21st & 22nd from 8 am - 6 pm. Students must attend all four days of training. The course consists of exam preparation to acquire a Kentucky mining card. Following the training, students must schedule a drug screen and mining exam in Madisonville (details will be provided during the class.) Class size is offered on a first come first served basis, limited to the first 35 students. Questions? Call Jo Ann Brock at 270-831-9658 or Joe Milazzo at 270-831-9780. ENG207: A New Course at HCC this Fall!

 

Always wanted to write poetry but don't know how to start?

Like to write poetry and want to get better at it?

Planning to go for a Bachelor's in Creative Writing?

This course is for you! Enroll in ENG207: Poetry Workshop, a three-credit online course, with weekly workshops and poetry discussions. Get friendly feedback from your peers and instructor and gain inspiration from accomplished contemporary poets. You'll have up to six new publication-ready poems by the end of the class.

The Spring Student Showcase will be Friday, May 1. Students must register by 5 pm on April 27. Cash prizes are awarded to the winners within three categories: Academic, Service Learning and Applied.  The first step in applying for financial aid is completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA must be completed each year. Completing the FAFSA early will help ensure you receive limited state funds should you meet the eligibility requirements.
