Dear Friends and Colleagues,

"Traumatic Brain Injury & Hypopituitarism" - An Under Diagnosed & Treated Endocrine Disaster.

Eight years ago, at age 42 after a few bicycle related "minor" head bangs, I found myself enduring a few annoying issues: brain fog, allergies, digestive sensitivities, cold hands and feet, low thyroid, interrupted sleep, waking up tired, irregular heartbeats, sagging eyelids and muscle loss. My monthly PMS was getting so bad that I thought I was going insane. Of course despite eating healthy and taking high end nutritional supplements, I was feeling the hard reality of rapid aging. Of course, all blood tests on my thyroid, female hormones and even adrenal hormones appeared normal.

In the U.S., concussions are an alarmingly commonplace injury, particularly among kids and most particularly among active, athletic ones. Up to 3.8 million Americans are getting concussed per year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and even that big a figure is a moving target. In 2005, the number of children who visited emergency rooms for treatment of concussions was more than twice what it had been in 1997. According to a new study in the journal Pediatrics High school football players alone sustain 100,000 full-blown, diagnosed concussions per year. Flying under the radar are injuries mild enough to get passed off by coaches as a mere ding or ignored by players anxious to get back on the field. (Time: Head Banger Nation Feb 2011)
One out of three people walk away, not knowing that they are sitting on a slow, progressive decline due to a poorly diagnosed and this under treated condition: pituitary dysfunction. Unfortunately many of these head trauma victims have been left with varying degrees of physical and psychological dysfunctions, with progressive loss of optimal hormonal functions.
On top of physical injuries, I have found emotional and socioeconomic stress can also inhibit pituitary functions. 80% of Americans suffer from intense and chronic stress. Again, modern life aging becomes common place problems.

The pituitary gland is the master gland
of the body, the conductor of the hormonal symphony, and the house of wisdom (Chinese Medicine).
So is there a way to awaken, support and naturally restore the "injured" master? Numerous integrative physicians, holistic chiropractors specializing in head and neck injuries and myself have been extremely happy with several nutritional support provided by Orenda International (see Otropin). I am so excited that I, through the searching of healing my own brain injury, have been able to detect and help thousands, especially kids to regain a healthy life again.
Please keep reading and meet Dr. Mark Gordon, one of the best lecturers on "Traumatic Brain Injury and Hormonal Therapies". (our interview, book and video of the month.)

With infinite love and gratitude

Thyroid vs Thyroid System: Hypothyroidism: A Silent Epidemic

Imagine your house in the winter, your thermostat is not working! -  Hypothyroidism is far more prevalent than once thought. Thyroid hormones are used by every cell of our body to provide basic energy, regulate metabolism and body weight by controlling the burning of fat for energy and heat. They're also required for optimal functions of all systems and organs in the body such as brain function, digestion, agile immune system and development in children.
So what is thyroid vs thyroid system?
Introducing our natural and simple approaches to have a young and optimal thyroid function.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

Testimonial of the Month

My name is Lea Newmerzhycky and this is my story... with before and after pictures.

My health began to decline soon after my hysterectomy. I experienced weight gain and felt constantly tired. When I talked with mv doctor, he told me to eat less, then, referred me to a dietician. I cut my daily calories to 1000 per day and began running several miles daily. Despite my efforts: my weight gain continued, I began needing frequent naps and my health continued to decline. I gained 40 pounds, barely had enough energy to get out of bed, and my hair started falling out.
Fed up, I started doing research on the computer and zeroed in on an autoimmune disease called Hashimotos Thyroiditis. I went to a new doctor who tested me positive for this disease. I was happy to finally have a diagnosis so we could begin treatment. I was put on traditional medications, but any improvements were short-lived; I again began to gain weight, and this time developed unbearable joint pain.  My cholesterol and glucose levels began to rise and I developed new allergies to various foods, pollens, and even my cats. I also developed allergen induced asthma and then exercise induced anaphylaxis. I was given steroids, an emergency inhaler, and was told that hiking in the woods or running alone could result in my death. When my doctor no longer knew what to do so she referred me to an endocrinologist. The allopathic healthcare protocol immediately sent me to the ER with a racing heart rate and dangerously high blood pressure. This is when I realized our traditional healthcare system was making me worse, not better.
I was now desperate, and with a friend's advice, I called Dr. Lu. On my first office visit we discussed my symptoms, current medications and new bloodwork. It did not take long for Dr. Lu to establish a protocol that included both compounded pharmaceutical medications and homeopathic supplementation, including Orenda supplements. After I began Dr. Lu's protocol it only took a week for subtle differences to emerge, and for the first time in years I felt some optimism, The improvements accelerated over the next few weeks, as I lost nearly 30 pounds, my blood pressure fell to 110/60 and my asthma and allergies are now gone. My chronic joint pain is a thing of the past and my energy levels continue to increase. I started this program skeptical and full of doubt and all I can say is Dr. Lu and her protocols have given me a new lease on life.
