Afterwards de-stress by painting with watercolors or drawing with coloring pencils.

The LGBT Resource Center invites Math and Science Majors to come discuss the intersection between the Math and Science fields and the LGBTQIA community. Attendees will have a chance to hear the stories of LGBT panelists in Math and Science majors and also learn more about how to get involved. The program is open to everyone. Snacks will be provided! LGBT Undergraduate Scholarship Program
Applications are due February 3, 2014.
The LGBT Undergraduate Scholarship Program encourages gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender UCSD students to apply for the six scholarships made possible by generous contributions from many people, including Chris Arrott, Michael Marx and Donald Marshall, Russ Ty, and from funds in memory of Tracee Parsons and Stephen P. L'Italien, Jr.

Black History Month Film Screenings 2014:
Thursday, February 6th | 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
"The New Black" documents the story of African-Americans grappling with the LGBT issue through the lens of the recent marriage equality movements and the fight over civil rights. Activists, families and clergy examines the issue in the black community's institutional pillar-the black church.

American Promise provides a rare look into the lives of two middle class black families as they navigate the ups and downs of parenting and educating their sons. The goal of the film and project is to empower boys, their parents, and educators to help close the Black male achievement gap.

This year's theme of "Speak Truth to Power" emerges from the historical trajectories of resistance and self-expression. The conference will be about the issues that face our communities and how do we experience and navigate them through our own experiences of self, friends, family, and community. Children's Book Drive January 27 - January 31 Women's Center
Do you have any old children's books lying around? Don't have any more use for them? Why not donate them to your community? Golden Key International Honors Society is teaming up with the Women's Center to host a Children's Book Drive. All books will go toward the Women's Center Lactation Program to make each room more child friendly. A donation collection box will be located in the Women's Center. All books are welcome, but we would prefer those in good condition and published after 1990. Thank you!

UCSD is pleased to announce an inaugural graduate student conference in feminist and queer of color critique, which will take place May 2-3, 2014. The conference seeks to open dialogue about the intersections of women of color feminism and queer of color critique. Graduate students from UCSD and elsewhere are invited to participate in our two day conference, with a keynote and a closing musical performance. We are honored to have Professor Sharon Holland from Duke University as our keynote speaker.
