Donate Your Pins To The Eye Bank
Spring is just around the corner and many use the time to clear out the clutter and do some spring-cleaning. Did you know you can donate your old Lions club pins to the Eye Bank to benefit the Endowment Fund? PDG Jim Minnich, Eye Bank Trustee and Co-Chairman of the Endowment Fund is also President of the LCI Pin Traders Club. Pins donated to the Eye Bank are sold at LCI trading pin club swaps and various district conventions. Proceeds go directly to the Endowment Fund and pin sales have contributed over $20,000.00 to date. If you have pins to donate, please contact Max or Kacey at 215-563-1679. |

Eye Bank Visits Temple Ophthalmology Residents
Eye Bank President Jim Quirk gave a presentation to a group of Temple Ophthalmology residents about the Lions Eye Bank of Delaware Valley and our role in cornea transplantation. A discussion followed the presentation and the residents brought attention to the need for eyeglasses in the Philadelphia and Wilmington community. The Eye Bank received a large donation of eyeglass frames and plans to work with the Temple residents to get the prescriptions filled and donate the frames to those in need. |
