Join us for Bounce houses, pie in the face  of a staff member (based on student votes),  food, games, and much more at this Fall festival.  Teachers will have games set up in classrooms, Bounce houses in the gym, and much more.  

We look forward to seeing you there.

You may have heard that tomorrow,  Nov. 4th  our teachers are staging a walk-out to protest low teacher pay and other policies that are negatively impacting public education.  

Here at GES, we know our teachers will be in their classrooms teaching our children!  However, we want to show them that we support their hard work.  

That's why I hope that you will join us tomorrow for our

Walk-In Day.  Please come by school before 10 am  We would love for you to wear red to show your support of our staff, and we know you do too!   You can write notes of thanks and appreciation for us to post.  Thank you for your partnership!

 

Tomorrow we also will have our Kindergarten Parent Night from 6-7 pm. 

 

On Tuesday, Nov.  5th,
we will not have school as it is a teacher workday and Election Day. 

 

On Friday, November 8, from 6-8 pm, please come out Guilford Elementary's FALL FESTIVAL!  We would love to have volunteers so, if interested, please let us know.  Tickets for this event will be  sold at door.  Come out for games and prizes!

 

Don't forget to send back purple survey sheets - PTA and the school use information that you provide in order to make school-wide decisions.  We value your input. 

 

Fundraiser orders are back on Wednesday November 6 and can be picked up in the PTA Room from 2-6 pm. 

Male Involvement at GES
GES wants to build Male Involvement at GES and is inviting all dads and male role models to a Doughnuts for dads breakfast on Tuesday, Nov. 19th at 7:00 a.m. in the GES library.  We want to invite all Dad's and male role models to bring their sons and daughters to this kick off event.  Please click here to RSVP.

Reading Buddies Program
What is Reading Buddies?

Reading Buddies is a group of high school students and adults working one-on-one with elementary school students on a weekly basis. They read books; tell stories; and play word games, anything to help the younger students become better readers.

 

How do I know how to be a "Reading Buddy?"
