Written Version of Connect Ed From Ms. Kris Vecchione for Week of June 3, 2013
- Thank you to all who joined us on Friday for our Cheetah Fest! Thank you to so many for all of the hard work! It is greatly appreciated!
- If your child brought home a pink notice, it means that he or she has overdue library books. Please help your child find these books and return them to the library ASAP. If you are unable to find a book, please pay the amount indicated on the notice. Your payment will allow replacement books to be purchased for the library. Thank you so much for your help with this.
- Students, how would you like to go on an adventure, travel all over the world, meet interesting people and have some fun? You can do all of these things simply by reading this summer! You might even win a set of books! Find out more about Guilford County Schools' Roadmap 2 Reading Initiative and what you need to do to qualify for a chance to win a set of books by clicking on this link
- We will have our Yearbook Signing Day on Tuesday, June 4. Don't forget to purchase before then!
- On Tuesday, June 4 we will also have our Pre-K graduation at 9:30.
- Also on June 4 we will have our Wizard of Oz Musical at 1:00pm and 6:30 pm. At the 6:30 performance we will also have our PTA elections for the 2013-2014 school year.
- On Wednesday, June 5 we will have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade Awards Ceremonies.
- On Thursday, June 6 we will have our Kindergarten and 5th grade Graduation and Award Ceremonies. Please check with your child's teacher for the exact times for all Ceremonies.
- On Friday, June 7 we will have our last day of school for the 2013-2014 school year. We are excited for the students but sad to see them go and look forward to next year. Thank you for the honor of teaching your children!

The goal of the North Carolina PTA as well as the GES PTA is to serve our members by empowering them to be advocates for children.
Being able to advocate for our students, is knowing what is coming out of the NC General Assembly
