The Honorable John E. "Jay" Wetsel, Jr. recently retired after twenty-four years as a Judge of the 26th Circuit of Virginia, including a period of service as Chief Judge. Prior to his tenure on the bench, Judge Wetsel enjoyed a successful career in private practice in Winchester. He is a Past President of the Winchester-Frederick Bar Association and a Former Member of the Executive Committee of the Virginia Bar Association. He is also a Former Member of the Judicial Systems Advisory Committee, the Panel of Annexation Judges, and the Judicial Performance Evaluation Task Force.
