Hon. Eric M. Johnson (Ret.)
Hon. Eric M. Johnson (Ret.) - Montgomery County, MD

The Honorable Eric M. Johnson recently retired after eighteen years of distinguished judicial service. He began his judicial career as an Associate Judge of the 6th District Court of Maryland for Montgomery County and then served fourteen years as an Associate Judge on the Montgomery County Circuit Court. Judge Johnson began his career in public service as a member of the US Navy. Thereafter, he was a police officer with Montgomery County and served as a prosecutor with the Montgomery County State's Attorney Office. Judge Johnson served on the Executive Committee of the Montgomery County Bar Association and on the Board of Directors of the Maryland State Bar Association. He is a member of the J. Franklyn Bourne, Montgomery County, and Maryland State Bar Associations.

Hon. Martin P. Welch (Ret.)
Hon. Martin P. Welch (Ret.) - Baltimore, MD

The Honorable Martin P. Welch retired recently after more than twenty-one years of distinguished judicial service, including ten years as Judge in Charge of the Family Division and four years as Chief Judge of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Prior to his service on the bench, he spent twelve years in the Baltimore City Solicitor's Office, first in the Contracts and Tax, Pensions and Finance Sections and later in the Corporate Division. A leader in the community, he has served on the boards of numerous educational, charitable, and business organizations.

Hon. Walter S. Felton, Jr. (Ret.)
Hon. Walter S. Felton, Jr. (Ret.)  - Williamsburg, VA

The Honorable Walter S. Felton, Jr. retired recently after serving on the Court of Appeals of Virginia for twelve years, concluding his service as the Chief Judge. Prior to his election to the bench, he was first appointed as Deputy Attorney General of Virginia and then as Senior Counsel to the Attorney General. He later served as Counsel to the Governor of Virginia and Director of Policy. Judge Felton is a member of the Boyd-Graves Conference of the Virginia Bar Association and a former Professor of Law at William & Mary Law School. He was the recipient of the Judicial Council of Virginia's Harry L. Carrico Outstanding Career Service Award.

Hon. J. Michael Gamble (Ret.)
Hon. J. Michael Gamble (Ret.) - Amherst, VA

The Honorable J. Michael Gamble recently retired after serving the 24th Judicial Circuit of Virginia for twenty-four years, including two terms as Chief Judge. Prior to his tenure on the bench, Judge Gamble served Amherst County in many capacities, including as Town Attorney, School Board Attorney, Assistant Commissioner of Accounts, and Commissioner in Chancery. Judge Gamble is a former member of the Steering Committee of the Boyd-Graves Conference and Past Chair of both the Judicial Conduct Committee and the Virginia Model Jury Instructions Committee. A leader of the bar and in the community, he is a Past President of the Lynchburg Bar Association and of the Amherst-Nelson Bar Association.

Hon. B. Waugh Crigler (Ret.) Receives Virginia State Bar Leadership in Education Award
Hon. B. Waugh Crigler (Ret.)
Retired United States Magistrate Judge B. Waugh Crigler, a Neutral with The McCammon Group, has been named the recipient of the William R. Rakes Leadership in Education Award from the Virginia State Bar Section on the Education of Lawyers in Virginia. The award is to be presented on June 18, 2015 at the Virginia State Bar's Annual Meeting in Virginia Beach.
 
The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision in developing and implementing innovative concepts to improve and enhance the state of legal education, and in advancing relationships and professionalism among members of the academy, the bench, and the bar within the legal profession in Virginia.
 
Judge Crigler retired in 2013 after serving thirty-two years on the bench. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Crigler enjoyed a successful litigation career in Culpeper, handling a variety of cases including personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, and appellate work. As a Magistrate Judge, his docket included complex commercial, construction, employment, and IP matters. A veteran of more than 500 settlement conferences, Judge Crigler joined The McCammon Group in 2014 to serve the mediation, arbitration, judge pro tempore, and special master needs of lawyers and litigants throughout the Commonwealth and beyond.

Hon. Alfred D. Swersky (Ret.) Joins Panel at ABA/IPT Advanced Property Tax Seminar in New Orleans
On March 17, 2015, The Honorable Alfred D. Swersky (Ret.), a Neutral with The McCammon Group, spoke on a panel at the ABA Section of Taxation and Institute for Professionals in Taxation Advanced Tax Seminar at the Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans, LA.  

Judge Swersky joined a distinguished and multidisciplinary faculty to lead a practical examination of current state and local tax issues facing different businesses and industries.
