The McCammon Group (TMG) is an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider comprised of retired judges and practicing attorneys who possess a variety of subject matter backgrounds. Founded in Virginia in 1995, TMG has since expanded into Maryland and Washington, D.C. Although based in the mid-Atlantic, TMG Neutrals serve throughout the country.

Hon. Alexander Williams, Jr. (Ret.)
Honorable Alexander Williams, Jr. (Ret.) - Bowie, MD

Judge Alexander Williams, Jr. retired recently after serving the United States District Court for the District of Maryland with distinction for nearly twenty years. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Williams served Prince George's County in many capacities, including as State's Attorney (elected for two terms), Public Defender, Hearing Examiner, Special Counsel, and as Substitute Juvenile Master. Judge Williams also enjoyed a successful career in private practice in Maryland and DC. He is a founder and First President of the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, Inc., and has served for many years as a Professor at Howard University Law School.

Hon. Charles Poston (Ret.)
Hon. Charles Poston (Ret.) - Norfolk, VA

After more than twenty-five years of distinguished judicial service, Judge Charles Poston has recently retired. Judge Poston served the Norfolk Circuit Court with distinction for twenty years, including three years as Chief Judge. Prior to that appointment, he served in the Norfolk Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court for six years, including four years as Chief Judge. Judge Poston was the Presiding Judge for Virginia's first Mental Health Court and is a former member of the Boyd-Graves Conference. Before his judicial service, Judge Poston enjoyed a successful career in private practice in Hampton Roads. He also served in the United States Army Reserve, rising to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Infantry.

Hon. Thomas Horne (Ret.)
Honorable Thomas D. Horne (Ret.) - Leesburg, VA
 
Judge Thomas Horne recently retired after more than thirty years of distinguished service to Loudoun County Circuit Court, including serving four terms as chief judge. A leader of the bar and in the community, Judge Horne is a past president of the Loudoun County Bar Association and is a founding member of the Loudoun County Legal Aid Society. He received the Harry L. Carrico Outstanding Career Service Award and was the Chairman and Editorial Writer of the Circuit Court Judge's Benchbook. Prior to his judicial service, Judge Horne enjoyed a successful career in private practice and as Loudoun County's first full-time elected Commonwealth's Attorney.

Hon. Elizabeth Lacy (Ret.) Receives the Virginia State Bar Leadership in Education Award
Hon. Elizabeth B. Lacy (Ret.)
The Honorable Elizabeth B. Lacy (Ret.), Former Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia and a Neutral with The McCammon Group, is to receive the William R. Rakes Leadership in Education Award from the Virginia State Bar Section on the Education of Lawyers in Virginia. The award will be presented at the Virginia State Bar's Annual Meeting on June 12 in Virginia Beach.

The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision in developing and implementing innovative concepts to improve and enhance the state of legal education, and in enhancing relationships and professionalism among members of the academy, the bench and the bar within the legal profession in Virginia.

Justice Lacy was appointed to the Supreme Court of Virginia in 1989 and was re-elected in 2001. In 2007, she became a Senior Justice and joined The McCammon Group.
