From the Principal's Office

Dear St. Joseph's RCS Families, I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend with their families and friends! We are fast approaching the Holiday season, which means things are picking up here at St. Joseph's RCS. The Christmas Pageant is well on its way, we have students collecting food and clothing for the Homeless individuals and families around the area. This week we have the Honors and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday at 8:15 AM, and vision and hearing screenings for Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th grade students. Please make sure that we are following the appropriate arrival and dismissal procedures, as well as uniform requirements. The school handbook has information regarding these procedures page 26 (dress code) and page 35-36 (Arrival and Dismissal). Please make sure that you are obeying traffic laws, this includes speeding, cell phone use, following traffic directions, and avoiding parking/standing in the fire lanes. We work very hard to make sure everyone on school grounds is in a safe environment. This requires all of our cooperation, especially during arrival and dismissal. If you have not done so already, please make sure you have submitted your application for financial aid. You can find the link on the school website. The DEADLINE for returning families to apply is on December 4th. We are all be focusing on improving our math abilities and performance. For those of you that have shared different ideas with me I will be putting these together in a list and sharing them before Thanksgiving Break. Please share any new strategies you are using at home with me this week so I can add them to the list. STUDY THOSE MATH FACTS! Child Protection Policy- visit www.virtus.org to sign up.
