Cenderawasih Bay
Back in January 2017

After 3 exploration cruises in Cenderawasih, we were impressed by its marine diversity: massive whaleshark encounters, the beautiful WWII wrecks of Manokwari, the colorful reefs of Numfoor and Manim,  manta rays,  many species of sharks (black tip, white tip, gray , "walking", nurse, bulldog and silky), the rare critters  and many endemic species.

So we decided to change our program in January 2017 to offer two new cruises of 10 nights each at Cenderawasih.

from 8th to 18th January 2017 : Manokwari - Biak
from 21st to 31st January 2017 : Biak - Manokwari

Recently, on our first trip to Cenderawasih Bay, we were joined by Jorgen-Rasmussen. Jorgen is a multi-award winning photographer, who luckily for him, travels the world in search of the perfect image. Jorgen specialises in large mammal photography and was in 7th heaven being surrounded by up to 9 whale-sharks at any one time.It was a great pleasure to have him on-board and here we showcase a couple of his photographs.
