This Month: Missing Indigenous Women

This Month's Issue

On Valentine's Day 2009, the Women's Memorial March was staged in Vancouver's Downtown East Side to to call attention to missing and murdered women in the district. Since then, the event has become an annual manifestation in cities throughout Canada and the US.

In December 2014, LEAF, the  Women's Legal Education and Action Fund published a bibliography listing research reports on missing and murdered aboriginal women which have been published over the last ten years.  See here for the bibliography.


Our Editors have used this to create a Public Access Collection of most of the citations in the Bibliography. All titles in this grouping are available in full to anyone at the links below, or
at this url.

Au jour Saint Valentin 2009, le "Women's Memorial March" a été organisée dans le quartier Downtown Eastside de Vancouver à attirer l'attention sur les femmes disparues et assassinées dans le quartier. Depuis, l'événement est devenu une manifestation annuelle dans les villes partout au Canada et aux États-Unis.

En décembre 2014, LEAF, Fonds d'action et d'éducation juridiques pour les femmes a publié une bibliographie des rapports de recherche sur les femmes disparues et assassinées autochtones qui ont été publiés au cours des 10 dernières années. Voir ici la bibliographie.

Nos rédacteurs ont utilisé cela pour créer une collection d'accès public de la plupart (73) des citations dans la bibliographie. Tous les titres dans ce groupe sont disponibles dans leur intégralité au public sur les liens ci-dessous,  ou à cette adresse.
