About Canadian Electronic Library

Marking its 10th Anniversary in 2015, CEL is a collection of Canadian books and documents licensed for library use. Currently over 55,000 titles are available under several models, including subscription and perpetual access.

Canadian Publishers Collection, the centrepiece of CEL, offers over 15,000 titles from over 70 publishers on an affordable subscription plan, which makes all titles available to all users all the time, eliminating wait time frustrations. Another 3,000 are available for purchase only.

Canadian Public Documents is a collection of monographs of lasting reference value harvested from the sites of thousands of public agencies on a regular basis. All documents are provided under a perpetual access license.  Over 37,000 titles are included currently, with hundreds added each month.
