RESTORING OUR TALENT

In order to be restored to authenticity, we need to surrender our talent.

Talent is our unique identity. From that identity flows our passions.

We must discover and develop our unique expression of Christ in us to advance His message of restoration in the lives of each person we encounter. CPA's need to discover how to account with the Restorer. Realtors must uncover how to broker real estate with the Restorer. Attorneys should learn how to practice law with the Restorer.

The key that unlocks this restoration is full surrender of our talent to the Christ. He will help us reinvest that talent to bring restoration to others (1 Peter 4:10).

A snapshot of our talent is our business cards or the title we use at the end of an email to define who we are and what we do. Look at your business card, and ask yourself this question, "How have I misused for greed what God intended for generosity?"

After you examine the use of your talent, surrender it to the Restorer. Ask Him to make your career a ministry. Underneath the title of your card, write, "Surrendered," and carry it with you as a reminder of your desire for restoration of your talent.

Blessings!
