Spring Food Drive for St. Ann's Soup Kitchen

The sixth grade is organizing a school-wide food drive for St. Ann's Soup Kitchen in Hamden, whose pantry shelves are bare. Each grade is asked to donate specific food items before June 1. Click the flyer below for more information.
Thank you for assisting our neighbors in need!

Allergy Awareness

The safety and well-being of our students is a top priority at Foote. With end-of-year celebrations beginning, please keep in mind those students with food allergies when sending in treats from home. If you are not sure which allergies are present in your child's classroom, please contact his/her teacher or School Nurse Maryanne Peterson (mpeterson@footeschool.org). Thank you for helping to keep our school community safe and inclusive.

May Mailing Forms

An envelope containing important forms for next school year was sent home to families recently. Two of those forms are due to the front desk by May 27:

  • Family Information Form (Please note: This is an online form; a personalized link was emailed to each family on May 18.)

All forms are available on the Parents section of the school website.

New Faculty Blog

Heartfelt Thanks

Thanks to parents from the entire faculty and staff for the delicious faculty appreciation breakfast this week. The homemade food and beautiful flowers were a very welcome treat for teachers and staff during a very busy time of the year, and made everyone feel supported and appreciated.

Thanks also from the PTC to all the parents who contributed to our appreciation dinner for the After School Program staff!

Happy Centennial, From Yali!

Two former guest teachers from Yali, Foote's sister school in China, traveled around the globe to be at Centennial Weekend: Chen Guangwen and Huang Qiong. The students of Yali sent along their congratulations on Foote's 100th birthday in a fantastic student-made video. Click below to watch it.

's first graders told their journey stories aloud to one another.

Fifth graders studying ancient Greece got a close-up look at famous Greek statues, and Jim Adams has photos (pictured).

After a visit to the Yale University Art Gallery, ninth graders researched and created a replica of an ancient Roman object. Tina Hansen and Drew Sweet have a slideshow.
