A Message From Head of School
Carol Maoz

Dear Parents,

As we come to the end of a very memorable school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for all that you do to help foster the incredible sense of community at Foote. I feel truly fortunate to work at a school where parents are so invested in their children's education, and students come to school ready and excited to learn. You have supported our school in so many ways this year - by volunteering, by sharing family traditions in our classrooms, by giving to the Annual Fund, and most importantly, by simply being there for your children and their teachers each and every day.

I hope you all have a wonderful summer, filled with new explorations, great books and plenty of time to relax and reflect. We will look forward to welcoming you back in the fall, when we will kick off a very exciting year celebrating Foote's Centennial and the beginning of a new chapter in our school's remarkable story.

Sincerely,
CarolM signature

Hitting the Links to Support Foote

Foote parents and faculty dodged raindrops this past Sunday to compete in the second annual Fore For Foote golf tournament fundraiser. Sponsored by the PTC, the fun event was held at the Golf Club at Oxford Greens and drew eight foursomes for a shotgun tournament. This year's winning team was John Turner, Megan Williams, Silvia Gee and Bill Manke (missing from photo at left). Thanks to all those who participated and supported the event as sponsors!

Bringing Ancient Greece to Life

Greek Chariot Races
Fifth graders capped off their study of Ancient Greece with Greek Immersion Day. They dressed in period costumes, re-enacted the Persian and Peloponnesian wars with dodgeballs, raced "chariots" made from banana boxes, had a feast and performed Greek plays in the theater.
