The success of 'Foote Night at the Yale Rep' this past Saturday, April 6, was a testament to the organizational abilities of the Parent-Teacher Council, particularly those of co-presidents and benefit co-chairs Nadine Koobatian and Jaime Cole. Congratulations to all involved for a wonderful evening.

Earth Day Information for Parents
| | |
We are celebrating Earth Day on Thurs., April 18. The theme of the day is 'Using STEM to Make a Better World.' Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics will be highlighted, and students will participate in a variety of Earth Day-related activities throughout the day. The entire school will assemble in the Hosley Gymnasium at 8:30 a.m. to kick off the day with an environmental program by the non-profit group Horizon Wings, which will feature birds of prey.
We're encouraging the Foote community to be mindful of our environmental impact by performing simple but meaningful acts.
- We encourage families to reduce their transportation carbon 'Foote' print if possible by car pooling, riding bikes, or walking to school.
- We ask that your child bring a 'no waste' lunch: washable containers and just the amount of food they can eat.
And please encourage your students to wear green!

A Thank You and a Reminder
| | |
Thank you to the 182 families and friends of Foote who registered their Stop & Shop cards with the A+ School Rewards Program this year. The program ended March 28. Together, all of our registered cards earned $2,944.01 from Stop & Shop for The Foote School.
Next year, everyone will have to re-register his or her card. (That is Stop & Shop's rule, not ours.) Look for instructions in August or September. Thank you in advance for participating again!
The other fundraiser through Stop & Shop - the purchase of gift cards that earn cash back for Foote - is ongoing. Pay $100 for a $100 gift card and get $100 worth of groceries. Foote gets $5. Gift cards are available at the Front Desk.
