Outdoor Observation Drawing
Ages: 10 and up
Dates: July 22-July 26
Hours: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Fee: $350
In this exploration of nature, architecture, and art, Foote art teacher Jennifer Youngblood leads participants in exploring the sights - and sites - of summer! The class will travel to Edgerton Park, the Foote Community Garden, and other scenic New Haven sites to engage in open-air observational drawing.
Bookbinding
Ages: 10-14
Dates: July 29-August 2
Hours: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Fee: $350
Foote art teacher Jennifer Youngblood will introduce marbling, splatter painting, and more to create artfully embellished papers and bind creations together with a choice of book-binding techniques! Participants may turn their pages into accordion-fold books, or use Coptic or saddle-stitch binding to create their very own books.
Learn Soccer the Brazilian Way
Ages: 5-14
Dates: July 8-12; July 15-19; July 28-August 2
Hours: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fee: $275 per week
Join Everson Soccer Academy instructors to learn the Brazilian methodology, which encourages a skilled type of play. Players will learn techniques that allow them to be creative and innovative on the field. Boys and girls will be divided into age- and ability-appropriate groups for a safe and fun learning environment. After a morning of soccer, campers will take a break for lunch and enjoy an art project each afternoon.
