Spirit Day at Foote School!

The entire school is invited and encouraged to wear maroon and grey and celebrate Spirit Day at Foote!
When: Tues., Feb. 5
Why: show school spirit by wearing Foote School colors!
What: wear school-spirit wear: T-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, pajama pants, etc.
Special guest: Falco, the Foote School mascot, will visit lower school classes at lunchtime!
Where and when to buy Foote gear: at Movie Night on Fri., Feb. 1, or at the school store on Mon., Feb. 4 from 8-8:30 a.m. and 2-3:30 p.m.

CT_COLT Poetry Recitation Contest
|
|
|
What: The Annual Poetry Recitation Contest
When: Wed., Jan. 30
Why: To allow Foote Latin and Modern Language scholars to present their skills at a school-wide competition.
Who: Seventh, eighth, and ninth grade students
What has changed: We recently learned that the state competition has been cancelled for 2013; the scheduled date of March 26 falls on the second night of Passover and might present a conflict for members of the Jewish faith. The board of directors of the Connecticut Council of Language Teachers was unable to secure a suitable venue on a different date. CT-COLT is committed to hosting the event once more in 2014.
We are excited to support our students in their celebration of languages during the school contest this year and we look forward to taking part in the statewide contest when it returns in 2014.
