Henry, Portuquese Water Dog, came to us in 1999 to have his sperm cryopreserved. In 2012, Henry's frozen semen was sent to Michigan. Sunny, a bitch from that litter, went to live at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave! She is the second Portie to live in the White House.

Our frozen semen data of 2014 shows 70% success rate with 66 inseminations! In December 2014, our success rate was 88.88%. Two bitches had 10 pups each! All litters are conceived with ONE SURGICAL INSEMINATION. C.L.O.N.E. thaw media was used on all frozen semen thaws. Frozen semen was sent to us or our own Canine Cryobank was used.

Protocol #1 Reliable, in house progesterone testing data of over 30 years. Reliable progesterone timing is everything! Remember, all progesterone tests do not give the same results.
Our progesterone tests are done here in our lab. Unfortunately, different progesterone test kits results do not correlate. Hopefully, that is a fact that will go viral and save many breeders disappointment.
Protocol #2 Using C.L.O.N.E thaw media on all thaws.
Protocol #3 Dr. Pearson and staff do the surgical inseminations at 6:45am. The bitches are not caged but come right from their owner's arms to be anesthesized. The whole surgery takes 10-12 minutes. The bitch is recovered with a vet technician and returned to the owner by 7:30-8 am. We never have bitches stay in kennels waiting for the "right" day. Unless a bitch is a kennel dog, putting an in heat bitch in a kennel will stress her, thus, raise her cortisol levels and interfere with ovulation.
