 Hailing directly from historic County Waterford, the acclaimed Irish ensemble Danú celebrates traditional Irish music and song, transforming listeners on a musical journey back to their native Emerald Isle. Celtic music lovers around the globe have been thrilled by the ensemble's virtuoso players on fiddle, flute, button accordion, percussion and the gorgeous voice of Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh. Winner of major awards from the BBC and Irish Music Magazine, Danú is coming to the Triad for an early celebration of the "wearing of the green," in honor of the Patron Saint of Ireland, St. Patrick, on Friday evening, March 15 at 7:30 pm. |
