Greetings!
As you receive this newsletter we are gearing up for Fall Market. Please keep in mind that the Theatre has some terrific events coming up on the heels of Market that you will want to attend. There is still time to get great seats for Janis Ian & Tom Paxton: Together at Last on Friday, Oct. 19, and for the amazing Cindy Williams in Nunset Boulevard on Sunday Oct. 21 at 3 pm. While October is the bewitching month there is no need to be scared of these shows. Come to downtown High Point and see these terrific events. Another great show to take in will be on Friday, Oct. 26th in Mendenhall Terminal. Rock 'n High Point featuring Lacy Green and The Carter Brothers will be a fund raising event for United Way, and the Friends of the High Point Theatre. There will be food available, and of course wonderful music. As always......see you at the theatre!

2012-2013 Season Kicks Off Next Weekend ...
Tom Paxton & Janis Ian: Together at Last
And Nunset Blvd starring Cindy Williams
Janis Ian ... you may remember her for the sensitive and soul-searching anthem of the disregarded teenage girl, "At Seventeen" or her controversial mid-1960s hit, "Society's Child." Tom Paxton ... a writer of numerous modern folk classics, such as the fun-loving, carefree "Bottle of Wine," the reflective and regretful "The Last Thing on My Mind," or the whimsical "Marvelous Toy." Touring together for the first time, these two icons of the pop genre have 13 Grammy Award nominations, a couple of chart-topping hits, and a collection of some of the best-loved songs of their generation. Appearing at the Theatre on October 19, this is a tour de force concert you will not want to miss!
The Little Sisters of Hoboken are off on another crazy Nunsense adventure. This time, they're headed to Tinseltown, thrilled at the prospect of performing at the famed Hollywood Bowl. As they arrive in the city of stars, they discover just a little error, easy to overlook really: their gig is slated not for the Hollywood Bowl, but the Hollywood Bowl-A-Rama. True troopers, they take the somewhat more modest stage in the bowling alley's cabaret lounge and put their hearts into the show. It would be a sin to miss Cindy Williams, the lovable star of the hit TV sitcom "Laverne & Shirley," along with the original New York cast, in this zany musical comedy Nunset Boulevard!
