Tom Edwards began working as ASI's Vice President of Engineering in August 2014. He has a bachelor's degree from Drexel University and master's degrees from La Salle University and Villanova University. He has extensive experience in manufacturing, having worked at Met-Pro Corporation, Lockheed Martin and General Electric.
He was drawn to ASI because it is a company with growth potential, based upon its technical competencies to integrate custom gear train products to meet demanding customer requirements. Obtaining those goals requires engineering prowess.
"Being able to contribute to the company in that manner makes engineering enjoyable," Tom said.
Most of his career has been spent developing and launching new products that meet customer requirements, which is what Tom aims to do at ASI.
"There are tremendous engineering and manufacturing skills at ASI and I look to catalyze these into new products that contribute to the success of both ASI and our customers," Tom said.
ASI is continuing to increase our resources and expertise in an effort to give our customers the highest efficiency
gear drives with maximum torque and durability. The addition of Tom Edwards as our VP of Engineering provides
ASI with a new management skill to ensure the timely completion of projects. In addition, Tom's position on the ASI
team will provide new technologies and ideas to give our customers an extra level of value when considering
new products or resolution to problems with competitor's products.
