BBDF CELEBRATES 5 YEARS

As we celebrate our fifth anniversary, we are taking this opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments and celebrate our progress. We also want to recognize you, our friends and supporters, who have made our success possible. We invite you to view a comprehensive progress report of some of our proudest accomplishments over the past 5 years. View our "Jenyis" report »

The foundation is extremely grateful to Jeff Hunt, James Wakefield and their team at Pulsepoint for their creative "Jenyis" on this report.
A MOTHER'S STORY
by Charlotte Benson

At Christmas time gifts come wrapped in many different ways. We're often so focused on giving gifts, we fail to pause and recognize the gifts that God has given us. Our children are precious gifts, each wrapped uniquely and individually. A Mother's Story is a way to share my perspective on living with a child affected with Batten disease, but a family has many different perspectives. This month, Garland is sharing his experience in this video.
INTRODUCING NEW LEADERSHIP

Will Murphy joins BBDF Board of Directors

The foundation welcomes new board member Will Murphy. Will has been a dedicated and valuable supporter of The Will Herndon Fund at Beyond Batten Disease Foundation since its inception in 2009, and we are excited for the passion and leadership he will bring to the board. Read Will's bio »

BBDF Development Board Established

#GIVINGTUESDAY

Black Friday, Cyber Monday and now... #GivingTuesday

With all the hustle and bustle surrounding the holidays, it is easy to forget what this time of the year is truly about. Join us tomorrow for #GivingTuesday. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for Batten disease research. There are several ways to make a difference tomorrow and throughout this holiday season:

Holiday Cards: Send the gift of hope this season by making a donation to honor family and friends.

Give As You Get: Shop online and a percentage of your purchase will be donated to BBDF.

Shop for Hope: Purchase your gifts through Write Away and 20% of your donation will be donated to The Will Herndon Fund at Beyond Batten Disease Foundation.

Corporate Matching: Make your year-end giving go twice as far!

BBDF would also like to thank Jamey and Heidi Whitlock, who generously give their time to organize and host this event each year.

"I have always tried to use my business as a way to give back, so when I heard about my friends the Herndons and the Benons, I couldn't think of anything else in the world I wanted to do more than try and help them and their children. When you see a disease like this, it really puts everything into perspective. If this were to happen to me, I would want somebody who had the ability to make a difference to stand up and do it."

-Jamey Whitlock
