Singer-Songwriter Andy Grammer Performs for Patients at The Unterberg Children's Hospital
Platinum-selling recording artist Andy Grammer performed for patients and staff at The Unterberg Children's Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center prior to his show at Monmouth University's Pollak Theater on October 23.
Grammer, who became the first male pop star in a decade, since John Mayer in 2002, to reach the Top 10 at Adult Pop Radio on his first two singles, Keep Your Head Up and Fine By Me,thrilled young patients, parents and staff with acoustic versions of those hits and other numbers.
During a two-hour visit, he spent time with children at the Valerie Fund Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders and the Children's Crisis Interventions Services and Pediatric Inpatient units. He also Tweeted to his thousands of Twitter followers about his visit.
In just a few short years, Grammer has gone on to sell more than 100,000 albums, play sold-out venues nationwide, and perform onstage with noted headliners such as Taylor Swift, Train, and
Colbie Caillat. His debut single "Keep Your Head Up" is featured in the movie Pitch Perfect.
