New Children's Hospital Lecture Series Kicks Off May 30 With Immunization Program

 

Dr. Margaret Fisher A new Children's Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center Lecture Series is being launched to provide parents with invaluable information to empower them to keep their children healthy and safe. 

 

The "Get to Know Us Before You Need Us" Lecture Series will kick off at The Children's Hospital on Wednesday, May 30 with an 11 a.m. address by Margaret C. Fisher, M.D., Medical Director of The Children's Hospital and Chair of Pediatrics at Monmouth Medical Center. Dr. Fisher, a pediatric infectious disease specialist, will address, Immunizations: The Best Shot for You and Your Children.

A Logical Approach to Tough Parenting Issues the Focus of June 9 Program

or Prevention, in collaboration with the Samaritan Center at the Jersey Shore, will present "Parenting: It's Complicated...Let's Talk Logic" featuring Keynot

e Speaker Sandy Queen of Lifeworks. The program will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Atlantic Club, located at 1904 Atlantic Avenue in Manasquan. The program agenda includes "Kids' Greatest Risks - Parent's Greatest Challenges," "Solutions and Strategies for Building Resiliency" and a panel discussion. 

  

Cost is $10 per person. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, as well as gifts and a raffle prize.  Registration is required by Friday, May 25. The county-based chapter is among more than 500 grassroots

partnerships throughout the world associated with

Safe Kids, the first nonprofit organization dedicated solely

to the prevention of unintentional childhood injury or

accidents - the No. 1 killer of children 14 and under. In

addition to The Children's Hospital at Monmouth, the Safe

Kids Monmouth County Chapter also partners with the Long

Branch Police Department, Long Branch Public School

System, Long Branch Department of Recreation and the

Coastal Monmouth Alliance for the Prevention of Substance

Abuse.
