It's not to late to join us for the Church Picnic this Sunday!
Dear (Contact First Name),
This Sunday's weather will be beautiful. The forecast calls for clear skies with the temperature in the mid 70s going up to the low 80s. Perfect weather for a picnic!
Please join us this Sunday, August 7 for the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church's Annual Picnic. It's being held at Riverfront Park, Point Pleasant Boro, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We encourage you to come at 10:00 for the informal worship service with Communion (we won't be having worship in the church Sanctuary that day), but in fact you can arrive and depart at any time that's convenient.
Everyone's welcome, members and friends of the church alike! Please spread the word...
At our informal worship service, you'll have a chance - if you wish - to share how God is at work in your life, your church and your community. This year's theme is: GO. Has God ever told you to "Go?"
There is a reason why some never miss the picnic, because nobody puts out a spread of food like Point Presbyterian! Hot dogs, hamburgers, rolls, and all the fixings - along with lemonade, water and iced tea - will be provided by the church. Paper products will also be supplied. Each guest/family, please bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share.
Besides the food and games (including the playground), there is a beach area that can be used for fishing or crabbing. Swimming is permitted in a section with the lifeguard. Cost is $1 per person to swim, which covers the cost of the lifeguard.
We will once again have the catch-and-release fishing in the river. If you have fishing or crabbing equipment, you can bring it along. If you don't, poles, bait, and instruction will be there for your use. Mr. Bob loves to help the children catch and release their fish. This is always a popular activity.
So put on your blue church tee shirt, pack up your bathing suits, towels, a dish to share, folding chairs, sunglasses, hats, and smiles and join us for a fun-filled day enjoying God's gift of nature with your family and friends. There is a large roofed pavilion that will provide plenty of shade.
If you haven't RSVPed yet, or if you have any questions, please speak with Frank or Kerry Jones at 732-899-1144. You won't want to miss this fun-filled day for the entire church family!
