Dear Friends,
How do you feel about your prayer life? Do you pray regularly? Do you feel your prayers are heard by God? Are they answered? When do you pray? How often? Where? What do you pray for and about?
This Sunday I will be preaching the first of a two part sermon on prayer. I will be dealing with how to pray. In Luke's gospel Jesus' disciples came to him and asked, "Lord, teach us to pray." Most of us struggle with prayer and part of that struggle comes from not knowing how to pray.
Come this Sunday and let us wrestle together with learning how to pray. The following Sunday we will look at what to pray. I hope to see you in worship.
Blessings,
Pastor Linda
P.S. Last Sunday I shared in my sermon about making the decision to give up my backyard bird feeders because the birds were causing my neighbor to be upset. This saddened my greatly, as you who were there, heard me say. Imagine my surprise and delight when a box arrived this past week addressed to me. Inside was a new feeder - one for hummingbirds! Thank you to the person who had it sent. Since there was no name attached to the gift, I am thanking you in this manner. The feeder is filled and hanging in my backyard awaiting the first guest.
