Dear Friends,
It's Memorial Day weekend. What do you see?
Do you see lazy summer days, barbecues and swimming, fun in the sun?
Do you see hordes of tourists, traffic snarls, an endless search for parking places?
In the summertime, as with every other season, our vision makes a huge difference. The possibilities we envision very often become the reality we experience.
This Sunday in worship, we're going to look at the story of a man who had a deep and expansive vision of the possible. So confident was this man - a Roman centurion - in his vision, that he believed Jesus could accomplish a healing without even being there.
Jesus did, of course. And the story of this remarkable healing is a parable of possibilities.
What possibilities do you envision for your life, in the light of God's love?

Sunday School News

Hello Everyone, Last week, we had a slight change of plans. We had an almost completely different group of students present than the week before, and only 1 or 2 of them had seen the first part of The Prince of Egypt. So, we started the movie over from the beginning. Now, everyone has seen the beginning!
This week, we are going to be learning about the burning bush. We covered it in the movie, but now we are going to learn about what really happened, what Moses saw, and what God told him. We will be doing a fun craft to remind us of the story.
I understand that it's the holiday weekend, but I do hope everyone can make their best effort to still make it to Sunday School!
I hope you all get to enjoy some of the nice weather, this weekend. See you on Sunday!

This Week at Point Beach Prep
This week we met numbers 7 and 8. We learned there are 7 days in a week and 8 legs on a spider. Among other books, we read Snow White and the 7 Dwarves, Spiders, and Memorial Day. We sang There Are Seven Days in a Week, The Isty Bitsy Spider, and The Number Rock. We have been playing lots of number games.
Our dramatic play areas are where some of the most imaginative and involved play occurs. The children develop social relationships, build self esteem and learn about the world around them. They experience different roles, and use it as a means to express feelings and emotions. These areas change periodically and are based on the children's interests. We currently have a grocery store, lemonade stand and a fishing boat!
We have been enjoying the beautiful weather while playing on our playground. We planted some vegetables outside and are excited to watch them grow!
