Dear Confirmation Parents and Young People,

It's Confirmation Time!

Confirmation Dove, animated We'll soon be starting up the Confirmation Class, which will meet on Sunday mornings from 11:20 am till 12:30 pm. Young people 7th grade and older are most welcome to attend!

I'll be teaching the class myself, assisted by Elder Dale Leasure.

There will be 6 meetings of the class altogether between now and Pentecost, May 15th (which is the actual date Confirmation will take place in our morning worship service). The full schedule is printed below.

We'll be starting out with an informational meeting for parents and young people: this Sunday (Palm Sunday), March 20th at 11:20 a.m. in the Fellowship Room (right after coffee hour is over).

What Is Confirmation?

Confirmation Confirmation is a very special rite of the church, by which young people "confirm" the promises their parents made for them at the time of their baptism. In the event that any class members have not been baptized, they will be baptized as adults on the day of Confirmation.

Confirmation classes are a time to learn about the Christian faith, ask questions about it - and no question is off-limits! - and have a good time together.

Alternative Worship Services
Also happening during the weeks the class will be meeting are alternative worship services on Saturday evenings from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. We hope class members will take advantage of this special opportunity.

It's possible that we may change the time of one or more of the Confirmation Class meetings to 7 pm on Saturdays, if there's sufficient interest in doing so.
