Friends, My twenty-fifth anniversary among you calls to mind many stories of this special community of Christians we know as Point Pleasant Presbyterian. I'm reminded of the saints of years past who have lived the life of Christian discipleship among us, sharing their spiritual and material gifts for the strengthening of Christ's witness here in this place.
When I think of those many names - of those who are no longer with us, as well as those who are deeply involved in the life of the church - I rejoice and give thanks for God's goodness in calling such special people together in Christian fellowship.
I'm aware, too, of names of Christian disciples who entered the church triumphant before I had the chance to know them - but whose names live on in the memory of their descendants and their fellow believers. I've heard many of their stories!
The greater story of this community of faith continues. We'll celebrate that ongoing story this Sunday, which is All Saints Day. Included in the worship service will be our annual Service of Remembrance, calling to mind the names of church members and friends who have died in the past year.
We'll celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper as well, before going to the CE Annex for Communion Brunch. A very full morning!
Together as Christ's church, let us celebrate our story!

Strengthening Families
Sowing Friendships
Serving Community
Greetings!
The story of our church, as we journey on the path of Christian discipleship, is recorded from the rich collection of the individual stories of our members. During our journey together, each of us experiences facets of church that are especially significant to us (aspects of worship, music, education, fellowship, service, times of hardship, etc.)
Would you kindly share your "point of special enthusiasm" regarding your life at PPPC? Is there one part of your church experience in which you delight?
The Outreach Committee has set out to gather these "points of special enthusiasm" and then share them with our church members in the coming days. Kindly describe your "point of special enthusiasm" on the form online, and place it in the basket in the narthex. Or, you may prefer to email your thoughts to Frank Perkowski at blueclaw61@verizon.net.
Perhaps you will act right away, so we may begin our display quickly. That would be great!
Thank you for taking a moment to share with us!
The Outreach Committee

Hello Everyone

Last week was a scary good time in Sunday School! We had our annual Halloween Party. There were lots of great costumes and we had plenty of yummy treats to enjoy.
This week, its back to business as we start our new unit. For the new few weeks we will be talking about the Disciples. Who were they? What did they do? Why were they so important? These and many more questions will be answered. Don't forget to read Psalm 23 again for our discussion with Pastor Linda. See you on Sunday Peace and Blessings,
Tricia Stoffers

Thursday and Friday were very busy and fun days here at Point Beach Prep! The Point Pleasant Beach High School invited our school to go trick or treating in their Child Development Class. We had help from the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department, who assisted us in crossing the street. The High School students gave each of our children a treat. We then did a trick by singing the Five Little Pumpkins song for them!
We had our Halloween parades on the playground. Parents and Grandparents came out to see all of our students dressed up in costumes. It was spooktacular! Happy Halloween!

Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes are due November 15
Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God's love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Once again the PW will be working with Samaritan's Purse to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.
1. ShoeboxUse an empty shoebox (standard size, please) or a small plastic container. You can wrap the box (lid separately), but wrapping is not required. Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift.
2. Boy or GirlDetermine whether your gift will be for a boy or a girl, and the child's age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. Print out the appropriate boy/girl label by downloading the artwork to the right. Mark the correct age category on the label, and tape the label to the top of your box.
3. Fill with GiftsFill the box with a variety of gifts that will bring delight to a child. Use the gift ideas provided on the bottom of this page. Please include at least one item a child can immediately embrace such as a stuffed toy, doll, ball or toy truck.
4. $7 DonationPlease donate $7 or more for each shoebox you prepare to help cover shipping and other project costs. You can write a check to Samaritan's Purse (note "OCC" on memo line) and place it in an envelope on top of the gift items inside your box. If you or your family are preparing more than one shoebox, please make one combined donation.
5. Drop OffPlace a rubber band around each closed shoebox and drop it off in the North Hall before November 15, 2015. Gift Ideas SCHOOL SUPPLIES: Pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pad sets, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc. TOYS: Small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A Sketch,® toys that light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky,® etc. HYGIENE ITEMS: Toothbrush, toothpaste, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc. OTHER: T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries) A PERSONAL NOTE: You may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself or your family. (If you include your name and address, the child may write back.)
DO NOT INCLUDE: Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives or military figures; chocolate or food; out- of-date candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snowglobes or glass containers; aerosol cans.
