We are glad you have been worshiping with us. Friends of the church are most welcome to attend and participate in the worship services and programs of the church as often and for as long as they wish. For most people, however, there comes a time when they wish to make the commitment to become a member of the church.
To do so is a relatively easy process. We are delighted that you indicated that you are interested in exploring membership.
Please be our guest for the next Inquirers Group that will take place on:
Sunday, May 4,
from 11:30 to 2:00 p.m.,
immediately following the monthly Communion Brunch.
The Inquirers Group is both for those who have decided to seek church membership and for those who simply want to find out more about the church and its ministries. It's a laid-back, friendly, informal time.
The group is all about YOU - what you need to find out about the church and its many programs, where you can fit in and how becoming a church member just may the next important step on your spiritual journey.
The Inquirers Group is not a membership class in the formal sense. The character of each group is formed by the unique mix of people who are part of it. It's designed both for longtime Presbyterians and for newcomers to our branch of the Christian faith. While we'll address such topics as personal faith, basic Christian beliefs and traditions of Presbyterianism, the group's goal, for the several hours we're together, will be to journey together as we get to know one another and learn one another's stories. No pressure - share as much or as little about your personal story as you wish, and if you decide to stick around at the end to meet with some representatives of our governing board, the Session, who can then vote you into membership, that's something to celebrate! If you feel you need more time to make up your mind, that's fine too.
Child care can be arranged by special request; please give Kim in the church office a call, if we can help you fill that need.
