Weekly News for
Sunday,
December 29, 2013
| |
The packages are gone. The counters are cleared off. No more cooking to do. No more cookies to make. No more shopping to do. This feels good. You might be tempted to sleep in this Sunday and catch up. Trust me, I know the feeling! But, I invite you to come and worship with us this Sunday. We will be doing our traditional Christmas Carol sing. Peggy Bierach will be at the organ bench, ready and willing to play your selection.
Yet as good as all this feels, let us celebrate that Jesus' life has just begun. Our Savior is but days old and his life's path is already set into motion. We will look at the days after his birth and the visit by the wise men!!! What did this visit mean? What is set in motion a mere few days after His birth?
Worship is at 10:00 a.m. I invite you to come as you are. Join in song and commitment as we gather as a community of faith at this blessed time of year. Jim McGuire

Joan Valentine House Giving Tree
Thanks to all who have purchased Christmas gifts for our friends from the Joan Valentine House! The pile of wrapped presents under the Sanctuary Christmas tree offers testimony to this congregation's caring.
If you took an envelope and have yet to place your gift under the tree, please do so as soon as possible, so the Deacons may deliver it as part of the upcoming Epiphany Party.
Thank you for bringing some extra Christmas cheer into someone's life!
